Just thought of something that could potentially be awesome.
How about adding a toggle box for every scenery in game that says "Dark Ride mode" or something. And when you tick that box, what would happen is that scenery piece will no longer be affected by the exterior lights/the sunlight.
In other words objects with that mode activated will act as if it is constantly night time or underground. the only lights that can affect these would be artificial lights like spotlights etc...
So you create an entire enclosure with all these scenery and buildings in Dark ride mode with a few spotlights and voila you have a perfectly working Darkride.
This toggle box would be available for every scenery and pre built buildings even custom downloaded ones.
The same would apply to tracked rides and coasters: you select a track piece and tick the "Dark ride mode" box and the track will be pitch black and whenever the cars or trains will roll on it, it will act as if it's nightime.
I think this would not only be super awesome but also it looks like it could be very simple to implement.
What ya think?
