Darxide (32X) Hints or tips?

I´ve had this game for about a year now, and to say it´s a tough cookie really is an understatement.

It´s brilliant and thoroughly addicitive, but I´m thinking I may be playing it the wrong way, strategically speaking. Even on "Easy" it´s rock hard.

Are there any hints, tips or indeed codes available for the great 32X version?

Presumably you're playing Darxide EMP?

- And yes, I think it is quite hard! I'm sorry, but I don't think we did any hints and tips.

Nope. 32X version. Great game. Any hints or tips for that version?

It's certainly challenging trying to play it on a phone :)

As for tips I found moving slowly made it easier to hit your enemies and to avoid picking up power-ups unless you need them. Note that I've not played it on the 32X, just the EMP version on various platforms.

My main problem really is lack of time. On the 32X version, the amount of Asteroids and enemy fighters you need to take out to clear the way is nigh on an impossible task.

Are there any rules? Do you need blast all the fighters or are there exceptions when it comes to the Thargons? (They remind me of Thargons anyway;) )

I've got Darxide EMP for series 60 and I really liked it :) . Yes, it is a bit hard when you start. To actually finish the end of the game is even more challenging. After you are done through, it became pretty easy game.

One tip is to shoot asteroids one by one. Many asteroids have things like enemy ships, miners and powerups attached to them, so it is easier to manage if you do asteroids one by one.

This was already mentioned, don't pick up goodies until you really need them.

Choose the right cruising speed.

And the game is really good to play on NGage but most if not all other devices it might be much harder just because the controls.

Ah I wish there was a version for Nintendo DS..

This may be a somewhat stupid question since it´s mentioned in the game description, but will the Darxide EMP version run on a standard Nokia N-Gage?

I need to be sure of this because it would be the only reason for me to get an N-Gage.

Doesn't look bad, despite being on the N-gage. :p

I'm severely disappointed that there's such a shortage of such games on the DS. I heard of wing commander prophecy for the advance but i've not played it. Have you guys seen Starfox Command on the DS? After seeing that excellent piece of stylus-flight control, I seriously think you guys can contend on that device.
