Data aquisition mission?

I get offered a load of these. I watched a tube about them, looks simple.

I've tried 4 now, and none of them have the terminal I'm meant to scan. There are some security points, but it's easy to jump the gates, there are some standard data points which alert everything to your presence, but not the terminal I need.

Could someone please let me know what I'm missing?

With these and all the surface missions that don't show up, missions with no description, etc I'm thinking of taking 6 months off.

Yeah, the game is a bug ridden piece of art.

I don't know why, but frontier seem to do really well at the complex stuff (the whole galaxy thing, the way the ships fly, the planet rendering, the graphics and sound) but the simple stuff like "Go here, do that, congrats you've done that here is some money" just seems to be beyond them.
