Newcomer / Intro Data Materials in Colonia

How do I get data materials if I go to colonia?
Also I think you can get manufacturing from HGEs but no Raw materials is this right?
Any other important things about going there for the first time would be most welcome.

Fill up everything before you leave? Unless you're planning on staying there forever, not sure you should run out any time soon.

Not staying, just a visit to unlock engineers and engineer my fleet a bit more. Then have a look around before heading back to the Bubble. Right of passage stuff I guess.

Passively scanning every ship while in SC as well as hacking comm arrays on installations works fine, but does take a bit longer than Jameson's Crash Site. Then mat trader for the ones you still need, if any.
