I think he does care. From the recent interview he seemed very much determined to see this game with so much potential succeed. When he spoke about looking up at the night sky in his garden and saying "I've been there", that really made me realise that he values his game and team who really want to deliver all the promises from the kickstarter. He also acknowledged our frustrations with the game, but what he said about the complexity and mathematics involved on the scale Elite is, that does make you realise how much of a technical marvel this game is. Yes there are many unfinished parts of the game, but we have to appreciate that we still actually have a good game at the end of the day and eventually if we all keep behind the game and showing our enthusiasm for it to be successful, it will become the best space game of all time (I'm certain). Sure that other game has walking in ships and lots of fancy graphics but it's still not even a game yet.. Elite has been a game for years now and I think the path the devs took was the right way of doing it, unlike the other game.
