Have we got to the stage where we are only to expect only occasional substantive answers? What's wrong with getting complete substantive answers?

Do you always answer questions with complete substantive answers??

C'mon - the guy was doing a chat with a forum. He was picking questions, typing fast, and thinking on his feet. Unlike us, and our "substantive" comments here... Stop trying to act like there's some kind of big conspiracy going on. Go complain about all the other gaming company execs who do 'ask me anything' chats on their forums. Oh, right, there aren't many, are there?

If he was gonna answer so few questions it would have been nice had he skipped answering questions like "How do you pronounce Patreus" and "How often do you play" when there were so many better game related questions

Always great to have David answer a few questions so thanks for taking the time to do that. I'll be intrigued to see how the powers do interact. I would suspect that the ones who prefer the more aggressive style of management will prosper but time will tell. One thing is for sure I am really looking forward to Powerplay.

Intrigued by the references to 'something else' being out there to discover. Exactly what I wanted to hear.. I just hope he realises with 400 billion star-systems out there, it might just take a while.

I'd love to see some kind of 'heatmap' in Elite, just to see how far we've explored.

Someone(s) is(are) trying to destroy the Alliance?!

Never! They haven't been around long, but they deserve a chance to exist. They were born out of the conflict between Federalis and Imperials in the Alioth system. I'd hate to think one of the two former powers competing for that system had succeeded in wiping them out after all that.

My current character was already swinging away from the Federation. This just makes me want to commit him to the Alliance all the more ;-)

I'm sure he realizes it, just like I'm sure "it" is more than one or two "things".

Do I get any bets on someone finding a planet called Eroticon Six? Or Giedi Prime? Or Tannhauser Gate? Pop-culture references alone might be found in our lifetimes. But I would venture that there are other things that are actively seeking us, or are on their own exploration/discovery missions and bound to intersect us. What about supernova? We get around 3 every hundred years ( which sounds seriously low to me ). One going off in the middle of an epic battle... would be spectacular. If I were designing this game, there would be A LOT of stuff for players to "find". Scenery, abandoned space ports, relics of pre-historic space battles, the Tothian minefield, The planet Hoth and especially LV-426 and Higgins' moon.
