VR specific updates in PowerPlay?

Will the oculus rift support see some tweaks in the PowerPlay update specialy for curved like UI to help readability and for performance
 
Are benefits to being aligned to a power related to the state of the power at the time you pledge your allegiance?

Taking a theoretical example, if you have a weak power they might be desperate for help so will offer a 25% discount on ships purchased at their shipyards (which won't have a lot of ships). As the power gains strength they don't need to offer such a large amount of discount, so it drops down to 20% then 15% then 10%. But those who pledged allegiance back at the beginning retain their 25% discount.

This would give some incentive to support the weaker powers and perhaps balance out the obvious flocking to the stronger powers.
 
Passenger missions, and Will the new missions system to replace or add to existing missions?

Hi David, two questions for you - hope that's ok.

1: As per the title, will we be seeing passenger missions with dedicated passenger ships and/or life support/passenger cabins etc for other ships and if so, when so?

2: Also, will the new improved missions system Michael and Sandro have spoken about replace the existing missions, or will it be added on top of them?

PS: Also, apologies for stealing the original Elite back in '84. :)
 
Multi tier npc

Does Power play replace the NPC proposal in the DDA is that emergent sandbox multi tier npc approach still where ED is going?
 
(1) How does Command Capital Work and can you explain what a exploited system versus a controlled system entails?

(2) If I build up my player group as a power, what is to prevent someone from deconstructing what I've built from solo, other than my players responding with a grind tug of war? If I'm attacking someone else, what's to prevent me from going to solo while attacking their system where I have nothing to lose while disassembling my enemies metagame?

^#2 isnt me asking to get rid of solo but rather what prevents the grind solo tactics that Lugh promoted

Is it going to be possible to dock at enemy power/faction station? ( please disable docking at enemy faction stations)

Are Multi (AI) Crew ships still on the list, and if so, will ships still be flyable solo like now or will it be like the older games where we have to crew up.

Will crew have different abilities and offer slight tweaks to our ships performance (so we can hunt out quality staff or train them over time perhaps....)?

Many thanks for what is a great re-imagining of what for me is the greatest game of all tiime.

What i really like to know is if there's any love for multiple ship owners. e.g. selling remotely parked ships, getting remotely parked to my location...
 
system map, ship's journal, jump

1. Did you add the game 3D system map?

2. Did you add the game ship's journal with the ability to prepare and memorize routes, liked systems and objects in them, as well as notes?

3. Will you be able to jump in exploring system to choose the destination star in systems with two or more stars?

i find the idea of greater immersion with faction based gamepley very exciting,
especially with some more ships to fly around in, and in that light my question is....

would you like some toast?

PC, Mac, console version in sync

With Mac and console versions coming up, I'm wondering what the plans are for keeping the different versions in sync. I suppose Macs will get Powerplay from the start, but will we see future updates, including DLC, coming to one platform first and other versions following later, or will all versions update at the same time?
 
Are there plans to improve the exploration data selling process?

Selling large amounts of data can result in exceptionally long delays, and for long distance explorers it is not uncommon for them to spend hours doing nothing but selling data. This is not fun gameplay, and an example can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAECTFU69g4

Are there plans to improve this in the future, and what else might explorers expect to see improved for them?

I want to know more about the new mission system, and how it differs from the old, please.

In the announcement its said: "An overhauled mission system to support Powerplay's new objectives and to give players dedicated missions based on rank and status." Does that mean more mission types, descriptions, missions based on the type of government giving the mission, or just increasing rewards based on rank?
