I came across this a while back and its just as good a place as Davs Hope for Mats and Beacon scanning
Go here: ALSHAT A 6 B
Look for the signal source: Expedition Vessel Odysseus.
Land there.
There is a crashed Anaconda there with Mats scattered around its wreck.
There is also a beacon to scan for data.
Plenty of room to land so you can take large ships
