The "crystal forest" is the best way to farm high grade raw materials. You'll need an exploration ship because it's over a thousand LY outside the bubble but it's not so far you cant make the round trip in an afternoon.

There are several crashed anacondas that can be farmed for materials, as well as the Jameson crash site.

i believe there was a patch today.

I hope so.. I've never actually got to go to Davs hope.. I tried one time and got attacked.. My ASP Explorer is made for long jumps and mining.. I have no weapons.. I jumped out of there quick when I got attacked by 2 different ships. I went today in Solo mode hoping I could make it without being attacked.. I made it ok.. but its not there.

so popped here last night, took an age as the nav beacon didn't bring up the coordinates so had to find it manually, was gone midnight by the time i landed so called it a night
From what I've seen i can do a "lap" scooping the goods up, log out/in rinse and repeat, is that right?

Yup,
You'll want to login as "solo" - otherwise you can find that another player has scooped all the goodies berore you!

Dont' you have to have a permit to go to the Jameson site???

No you shouldn't need a permit for the crash site, you need one for the Shinrarta Dezhra system where there's a station called Jameson Memorial

There is no permit requirement for the Jameson crash site. Just make sure you have decent landing skills

Edit: If you don't feel like jumping all over to gather mats, the alternative is to head to signal sources in a busy system and use collector limpets. It's a great way to get high-level materials easily.
