Day/Night cycle faster?

Does it seem like that the day/night cycle has been sped up in alpha 3 to anyone else?

I feel like I am always fast forwarding more to get through the night now than I was before

I don't have the game yet, but even in videos the shadows seem to move distractingly fast. I would like an option to slow the cycle waaay down.

Yeah, I feel like I'm playing 2 seconds in daylight and the rest is night. I pray to the Gods that they apply a time of day lock feature so we can remain in the daylight as long as we need to. Sure you can pause it, but then you can't test squat, so that does not help.

I think too that the day cycle IS faster than in alpha 2. I played the game yesterday and it surely felt the day went faster than normal. Playing in Tropical sandbox map.

Yes I also believe it is faster. Its one of the first things I noticed.
That's my assumption too. Its too fast for me aswell.

As described in other threads, I would prefer to make the day should be moving slower, so I can close the park at night and it feels "right". Currently the peeps are entering a ride at day but exit at night since the time went too fast.

Yeah currently the tropical sandbox fast forwards from 9 pm to 5 am for me. But overall yeah i do think the day night cycle regardless of that is a little quick on the slowest game speed. I absolutely have to build while paused and when building with the special effects i need to have it unpaused to see if it is placed properly. A waterfall I built for my current park took what seemed like 5 day/night cycles. Looks super cool though.

In alpha 2 one day was 24 realtime minutes long from 5.00 am till 5.00 am. But not 24 hours. 16 game hours because of the cuts during the night

Well, I hope the Devs implement something to lock time in an upcoming patch (3.4 would be the most welcomed [cool]). Even if it's a temporarily-crude solution. Aside from making it easy to build with, there are so many times when the lighting is just so perfect (sun hitting at a perfect angle, time of day) and you want it to remain that way... while the park is alive.

I'd like it so that 1 second in our real life = 1 minute. And for there to be FULL night cycles, not skipping from 9pm or 10pm to 5am.
