Daydream VR and E:D

Hi,

I've changed jobs and the company phone they offer is a Google Pixel device.

I understand that you can use one of these phones as part of Googles Daydream VR headset.

Does E:D support this? If not, is it likely to?

Thanks.

Probably not likely in near future!
Phones just aren't powerful enough for such complex VR games as ED.

It is possible with a bit of app wizardry.

By using TrinusVR and Moonlight.

TrinusVR - http://trinusvr.com/
Moonlight- http://moonlight-stream.com/

Basically the whole experience can be recreated on just TrinusVR, but is better just to use Trinus as a gyroscope to mouse input program. The video streaming is not so good.

This where Moonlight comes in as it can stream at the max resolution for your phone at 60 fps via wifi or preferably USB for less lag.

Elite already has an option to generate side by side images, so once you've figured the 3rd party software out it's pretty straight forward.

Looking at the resolution on the Pixel, I would hope for the XL version, which has 1,440 x 2,560 .
