Engineers Dazzle Shell - Not working? + What the hell Screening Shell means ?

So i just made up a dazzle shell effect on a double shot frag cannon.

SO far i tested on friends, there's NO effect on the enemy ship, he never lost target of me, not with a FULL load that removed half of it's python's shields , and i was on a courrier.

so the reduction is ridiculous, to a point that i don't think it even matter having the effect!

Also tried the Screening shell effect, cant find the "Special" on it, at first i though it would be something like a shield against attacks like Plasmas and so... but no.
 
Uh....sensor acuity isn't necessarily ability to target. The effect that removes targeting is the aptly named "target lock breaker", which plasma accelerators get.

Sounds like sensor acuity relates to how accurate the sensor is. Instead, have a look to see if his sensors are off at all for your actual position. If it does mess it up I can see how valuable it would be for PvP. The only time I can see it breaking target lock is if it reduces the sensor range and you're on the edge of their sensor field - in which case you're probably not firing the frags anyway.

Screening shell is increased effectiveness against munitions btw - which from my understanding makes it more effective at shooting down missiles and torps. Which is kinda useful.

-my correct distance
-my correct shield charge
-my correct hull
-my correct interior damage
-correct subtrarget
-maybe, the leading of MCs...
-maybe the lock of the missiles.

For the screening shell i have already tested against plasma, with was painfull :p so now i will test with seekers and torps.

No it doesnt , the one that works like chaff is the cannon one... if you wish to test it i still have the weapon near deciat.

On a serious note though, I only know it from the cannon. The fact that it doesn't do the same on the frag means it's broken. Look if it's been bug reported for beta, if not have someone check and do it.

The whole thing might be tied to the double shot as well(?), because that one is broken in live either way.

Gotcha, I keep confusing those because they are both on the plasma as well (might be worth checking it out there).

Have you tried sensor distance? Maybe signals go fuzzy sooner?
 
You can always target the ship that's shooting yours, even if your sensors are turned OFF.
Dazzle shell is useless for 1vs1, but okay for wing fights. The enemy can't see your wingmates unless they're very close, can't see mines, can't see asteroids. Also, dazzle shell comes with no drawbacks, so why not.

Sounds good then, if it blinds the target to other contacts that suits perfectly the stealth interdictor role,
combined with target ock breaker i see a plasma SR ship coming, efficient g5 of course;)

They can blind your enemy for a while cause of the sparks...
but if you are SRning, you disapear in 1v1! for a while (2 secs max) but its good for using togheter with mines and things like that....
