DB Scout, bug or intended ?

i tested the DB Scout and its lovley.. nice Hardpoints, nice agility, nice speed, nice range..

but what i saw, was kind of wierd.. its the only new ship i tested, so i cant compare, but this ship is the only one i saw, where the boost speed also relies on the pip in engine.
no other ship ive flown does that.. sidew, eagle, cobra, asp, type 6, type 7, even Dropship, all reach maximum boost speed even with no pip in engine, but the DB scout does not..

so just a question, fail coding or intended ?

4 pips gives me a couple extra meters per second on basically every ship. Depends on how much of the possible maximum is decided by thrusters/PD/mass/pips/etc, you may see greater effects on ships where the pips make up a larger percentage of deciding the final boost speed.
 
The Scout is highly dependent on pips in engines in general. You'll notice that other ships have a smaller variance between 1 and 4 pips in Engines, while the Scout changes by a ton. This means it's much more reliant on Engine Pips, which also means it's usually better to go with a kinetic setup so that you can go with lower WEP pips.

I just started using 4 Multicannons for this reason.
