DBS cockpit changed. But I liked it.

DBS cockpit have chenged to pne of DBX. Looking like DBX is now having textures of DBS this is intentional. But I liked that DBS internal view had that unrefined look. It's as if the ship been build out of old fridges and spare part from under the bed. I liked it. So there's a suggestion: a ship brand that would have that unrefined look with exposed cables. Cheap and dirty work around all electronics and windows would be too appreciated. Rusty panels? Yes, please.

Thank you.

I'd go one further and suggest interior cosmetic packs, with an underlay package that can reflect "clean" and "used" looks independent of colour and such.

There are already ships you can get that look like Jameson flew them to college a couple centuries ago like the grubby, worn interior surfaces of the Viper3. There's the K2, which just came out and has your requested exposed cables and such like they forgot to add any interior trim in a rush. On the flipside, no Imp ship even has a speck of dust in the cockpit. It'd be nice to change up the interior look to match the pilot's sensibilities.

I think the DBS cockpit was changed to the DBX one back in December, probably a bug (can't think of a reason why it would be intentional) but it was never fixed.

Or maybe they were just sued by DeLacy as scruffy cockpits are their thing.

As far as I know it's the DBX cockpit but with the original DBS light colours.

It's a mistake. In my opinion. Just one that hasn't been fixed.

Those things should just be tied to integrity imo.
I disagree. The interior of the ship wouldn't be on the same level and rate of wear and tear as the exterior, and if you want a rat's nest of a cockpit you'd have to suffer with a less-robust vessel just for cosmetic purposes.

If it had its own separate integrity bar, then maybe, just like paint is no longer directly tied to other repairs. It's much more an aesthetic concern, rather than actual integrity which has a direct role in the operational parameters of your ship.

I heard some time back that the DbS was somehow changed to look like that of the DbE. Not sure if bug or whatnot.

Not rusty enough, really. But quite there. Viper, for example had that distinct feeling of being cramped.
Viper feels cramped, but it's still a 40m long ship... I love the thing. Actually feels like a fighter.

And, if you think the viper is cramped, you flown an eagle?

I like the cockpits of the Alliance ships, because they all look like ww2 bombers, riveted together from steel rods and square panes of glass.
