Frontier has continued to develop their other title Elite Dangerous, while also creating a new game Jurassic World. I don't think the devs have any plans to stop releasing more content for PlanCo, and the content reveal at their expo might not be the only surprises they have planned for the next month or two, let's be patient cuz I'm sure after the holiday seasons end, and the new updates are released, hopefully the devs will discuss future plans for 2018 in a few months from now [cool]
Also, it's not important how many people are playing the game each and every day, to me the only thing that matters is how much content is uploaded (like blueprints via steam workshop) and most of all the videos people make! There's tons of videos for this game, and I think that's almost more fun than the game itself. I don't play PC as much as I'd like, mainly because my CPU sucks, but I still enjoy the game for what it offers because it's actually fun to ride the creations people have made, and thats all that matters! Plus, I know that someday I will have a better computer and hopefully the game will have even more content in another year or two.

This game certainly isn't going to disappear anytime soon. I can't even imagine there being a sequel or competitor to this game, and people have only just started to learn how to make mods [up]
