Dear FDev: please improve the BGS trigger mechanism.

This exemplifies the apparent chaos behind the current methods.
I mostly get the news board updating and hour or two after the tick, then updating again some hours later and the side panel and galaxy map changing hours after that.
It's very difficult to plan under these conditions.
I plan my group's daily BGS off whatever the news board says since 9 times out of 10 it's the first to update. Now we compare the data to Inara and what not to confirm if it's new tick data and if it's the influence tick and not just the state tick. But it would be nice if everything just updated all at once so we don't have to double check the data.

I should have been more explicit: BGS play is made more difficult if your time zone roughly matches UTC - Europe and Scandinavia. Players to the west of these time zones (the rest of the world) shouldn't have these problems to the same degree. But the tick has never been a constant - there have always been complaints at the timing - it's just that the current timing of the update phases exacerbates the problems.
While FD may be planning an overhaul of the BGS, it's hard to see how they can modify the management of two databases that are so deeply embedded in the code.
But nothing's impossible.
