Dear FDev: REGULAR and LONG RANGE System Colonization Claims.

Regular System Colonization Claim:
Access to all Economic Types.
Needs Powerplay System Nearby.
10-20ly Range
etc...

Long Range System Colonization Claim:
1000LY increments from Source (can "daisy chain" across galaxy)
System MUST contain Earth Like Planet.
Limited Economy (ie: Agriculture and Mining.)
etc...

Having a Regular Claim and a Long Distance claim would satisfy many types of players. I would personally like a Shorter Claim, and to be apart of the Powerplay in the bubble, however some players have expressed a wanting to colonize out into the black. This should be possible if there is a Earth Like Planet in that system. That planet theoretically would be able to support a population living there.

Long Range Claims could not have High Tech or other types of economy because those types are reliant heavily on Trade with nearby systems.

Could be neat, especially if you have the chance to build up the infrastructure between a couple worlds or maybe systems, to actually make that small bubble.

As for distance being a factor of fulfilling the "Long Range Claim" with the commodities market, the players will find a way. They will get several carriers and load them up in the bubble and jump them out there. Let the distance be the hardship, especially in setup, but becomes easier as the markets develop. You can even pull from your own commodities market in deep space to keep building your system.

I belive the ELW requirement should be converted to Terraformable.

After all, it currently has no value other than jacking up the financial value of a discovery.

I am down with Terraformable. Just adds another step to the process to being able to colonize a system, would be worth it.
