Every ship doesn't need to be great at everything. That is what got us into the mess of having multi-role ships that are better at nearly any role than the task dedicated ships are. Sure, the T-9 needs to be able to actually get to most systems. However, there is no need to try to turn it into anything but a great cargo ship. I welcome the proposed change much like I welcomed the similar change that was made to the T-7 about a year ago.
Would I like a larger FSD? Of course. Will not having a larger FSD keep me out of a T-9? Well, seeing as I have been in one for close to a year now (with a Python for mission running) I think it is safe to say that the FSD size will not cause me to reject the T-9. Of course, I have engineered the FSD to Range 5.
I see the cargo increase as being necessary. A larger FSD is not as critical to having the T-9 live up to its billing.
