Dear Frontier Developments , A Question about Horizon

We were told that in HORIZONS we would be able to land on airless planets-moons.That is the case but why Earth's Moon is not land-able ? why aren't there any ports , stations , bases or anything there ? Do you plan something about it and keeping it a surprise for us?

The moon is well known so they can't use procedural generation to randomly create stuff on it. We're supposed to be able to land on it at some point.

If i remember right according to elite lore Moon have large military shipyard for Federations capital ships. And we don´t have those in game yet. So if we could land there now it wouldn´t look anything like they want it to look like. Like before patch x.x its empty after patch x.x there is huge shipyard. Easier to say that you can´t land rather than try to get believable story how they build that in couple hours.

I might be wrong, but I think you will be able to one day with the correct Permit.

Luna is a permit restricted moon, as most of us expected it would be, considering what it is and it's importance in Human history.

Currently, in the Elite universe, Luna is an industrialized moon, lots of factories and such, producing, among other things, Federation capital ships as already mentioned.
