Dear Frontier, please don't let my nightmare come true (a not-so-serious-thread)

Dear fellow Zookeepers and Devs,

not that I didn't know that earlier, but: I am a freak. Since november I have another creative hobby. Which means my brain doesn't only spin book-scenesatnight or do card ideas, I also speedbuild while I sleep and dream of DLCs. Like tonight, which made me wake up at 7 am on a weekend day - so at a time no sane person should be awake. I dreamed we get a DLC full of seals. Even some black and white seals I dodn't know even exists. Igoogled them now and though they aren't looking like in my dream, funny enough, they exist and are called ribbon seals. I swear I never saw them before.

What made my dreama nightmare (besides waking up and finding out that it's not true and we still don't have any new DLC news at all) was, that the DLC didn't include my most eeded species. Prepare to be shocked now: No Gray seals. I mean, how on earth can I build my faveourite Zoo (Zoo Hannover) without gray seals? I was shocked and saddned when I woke up. shivers We had California Sealions, though at least.

In all honesty, hands up guys, who is as crazy as me and already dreamed of Planet Zoo stuff? Lets be a support group herein this thread and talk about our weirdest dreams and nightmares. ;)

I did not have any dreams of PZ, but I share your thoughts on additional content. I wish the game will have many years of support with updates, dlc and content. I know realisticly it will probably be similar to Planet coaster, but one can hope. I love the game and will keep on playing it for years. :)

Also, yes please California sea lions!

Such a terrifying Nightmare 😱
Please Frontier give me my beloved Californian Sealions

Well, if I'm a prophetess, you do not have to wrry. Didn't make that clear enough (will edit my post), but they were in it. And were looking perfect. And those building pieces, guys...maritim, lots of blues, lots of wood. Reminded me of Amity in Jaw.

:D I hardly remember any dreams, so I can't share a story like that. But I had my moments of getting an idea for a building, habitat or zoo and frantically starting to scribble a concept... I don't have that much time to play right now, so for me it's always a dream to realize it's the weekend which means "leave work and other tasks behind, get back to the zoo"

Raise your hand up.

I've also dreamed of Planet Zoo.

The dream was very vivid and I had the feeling that I was really going for a walk.

Oh how I know that feel.

I tend to always dream of what I'm doing or thinking of before bed, so PZ features a lot. I did have one dream where they released a Eurasian brown bear for some reason. I don't even want that animal in the game in real life, but dream-me was for some reason super excited about it. The zoo I was building in the dream also had a bunch of waterfowl, though, like swans and ducks, on a lake.

@NZFanatic ya know that’s one animal I would love to see in a zoo game. Obviously not so much now with two brown bear subspecies already and it would take away from a more needed animal. But if I would have known two would be in game I’d prefer the European over Himalayan which I do use sometimes but oh well.

My theory is that they only included the Himalayan because they needed to fill a quota in terms of animal numbers and it's critically endangered so they could justify it. The Eurasian brown bear isn't exactly uncommon. I'd still like them to change the timber wolf to the Eurasian wolf, though.

You really covered a great topic :) I knew I wasn't alone in this subject. 😅
Haha, glad I am not the only one:LOL: I dream about PZ from time to time, too.

The best dream I had and remember was that PZ had orcas already in the base game - so waking up was kind of nightmare for me😅
This also applies to me. :) I knew they wouldn't be in the base game. I used to dream every night before I go to sleep. I'm still dreaming right now. :) I can't sleep without dreaming Orca. :)

Just to confirm what I said above: my nightmare became true this morning when I realized it was monday ;) The zoo I've been growing since January is almost finished, just one habitat left. And after playing half of the weekend, I feel SO motivated! And yet... back to work until it's friday again :D (Reading the forums doesn't count, obviously.)

I know exactly how you feel. I have deadlines to met, but would so rather work on Königsfreuden. Am a bit stuck with Animalia, though.Next would be a Komodo Dragon and I have absolutely no idea for a realistic habitat in a zoo in europe. Another indoor exhibit, yet again? Sigh. Would love a building that guest can't enter and only look from outside, but have not manyideas. By the way, we areclearly missing on simple glas building pieces.
