I read plenty to understand how Russia is being used as a scapegoat for all of the issues going on in America and Europe. It truly is pathetic. Unfortunately, it's a constant tactic used by Western nations to blame another entity and not their own internal problems. And the public eat it up like the gullible morons they are.
Suppose it were true that we use Russia as scapegoat (and the other way around!), that still doesnt mean you should just discard this story automatically. There is a truckton of evidence of Russia influencing our western democracies, and plenty of evidence of us doing the same to them. Heck, Hillary Clinton was officially involved in an organisation that supports the Russian opposition. Thats politics. It silly to presume Russia would somehow let an opportunity to assert themselves go to waste. Putin isnt a clown, you know.
Denounce it. I didnt pay E59,99 for Civilization VI to not learn about the value of halving your warmongering penalty. But seriously, whenever Russia is being naughty, we should say:"Bad Russia, bad!". Just like Putin does when we are caught without our pants on.

Denouncing it is counter-productive.
Look at some of the comments in these very forums. People blaming the new world order, so-called "elites", people thinking Trump is some sort of working class hero. Denouncing foreign nations for interference will make the denounces look insecure in the eyes of the public. And in modern politics semblance is more important than substance.

They never lived in an autocratic state. They never experienced real supression. They probably never were a real minority.
Probably some sort of intellectual fantasizing that with a strong leader, they'd finally get to their rightful place at the top of the foodchain. Something this darn half-democratic, nearly free west completely failed to achieve.
I should open a little boot camp and make that sort of experience tangible.

Its no love for Russia , its a voice against the misplaced hate against russia. About the gay marriege , they held a referdum about it rememeber , try for once to respect a democratic outcome.
No im not a fan of Wilders , on social/econmics he is very left wing/socialsm type guy. I do support his view about mass immigration from muslim countrys but thats about it and wont vote for him.

I've not been following the USA - Russia hack incident very closely, but I think it's about hackers exposing things that lady Clinton tried to cover up.
I also heard on a dutch radio news show this morning that Obama knew it was happening but ignored it because 'he figured Clinton would win the elections anyway'.
I have no problems with Russians exposing the hidden dirt of either presidential candidate.
There've been plenty of politicians in the EU denouncing Trump on TV and radio during the elections.
What bothers me is that the outrage is about the Russian involvement and not about the fact that Clinton is untrustworthy and that Obama is only taking action because 'the wrong guy' won the elections.
I have no love for Putin though and it's a damn shame that such a great country is cursed with leadership like that.

Well, no. The fact is that Clinton is trustworthy. None of those leaked materials were anything shocking - to those who were criticizing the DNC for years.
She's just establishment and "business as usual", but if you think she'd posed such a great risk to the US and international relations as Trump does, you're watching too much Breitbart, Infowars and other rubbish. (and if you think she's the saviour and would have brought world peace, it's too much MSNBC).
