Dear Santa (FDev) - Please give us Blur/Zoom in VR

as the title says, it would be great for film making to also get the Zoom and Blur Option of the camera suite in VR.

Just composed my very first video with Davinci. Good fun!

Personally, I couldn't care less (sorry). I record only in 2D, VR lacks fidelity. You can't really see the VR depth in 2D, so to me recording in VR is a bit pointless, as the viewer can't experience what the filmmaker is.

Au contraire, monsieur! You can do so much more in VR. The headtracking gives you way more filming/camera options than the regular set of bindings. And you can define a high resolution output video format.
It's way cooler than doing it 2D only.

I can get similar results with head tracker though. But, I am not much of a film maker, so bear in mind my comment was from more causal point of view :)

I don't have anything against the idea, I just wouldn't find it useful personally, that's all. If you think it's needed - all's good!

Any footage captured from the default window display is so cropped and zoomed it's honestLy quite worthless.

Agreed. Having played VR games before, I know that playing in VR and watching clips in 360 degrees is not the same. It's cool though, but not the same. :)

The point is to create a movie in 2D but just use the additional head tracking for some cool camera movements. It works very well. I did a first clip called Speed and the head shake in some of the parts just adds perfectly to the overall atmosphere.

Just saw your Soundcloud channel. I also produce music. Tech House/Electro. Am about to finish a new track this weekend.

Your tracks sound pretty professional. Great work.

Thanks. I haven't produced anything in like 5 years though.
Would love to hear your stuff! :)

Will upload it on Soundcloud as soon as it's ready. This one is not Tech House but more a fun track as I got inspired by that pic I saw here so often. Will Ferrell - Everybody Love Everybody from a movie. The samples fitted to well to the track that it had to become an uplifting praise the beautiful world and the sun and the fun track.
