Ships Death of the DBS?

I was looking at the Enganced Thrusters, and I'm finding myself wondering whether this is the end for the DBS as a fighter.

Up untill now the DBS has compared well with similar sized ships like the Viper and iCourier, having superior agility and comparable speed.

Now it looks like access to Enhanced thrusters is going to break this balance wide open, giving Vipers, eagles and couriers enough extra speed to leave the DBS obsolete.

Is it as bad as I think?

Or is there something I'm missing, like modified components for other slots that the DBS can get but other small ships can't?

A usable Viper build isn't that easy as the mass and power limitations are really tight, yes it goes like a stabbed rat but it's offensive/defensive abilities are limited, the Eagles limited power capacity and the high thruster drain can also limit its effectiveness.

The iCourier is probably the easiest to optimise but it'll also have offensive/defensive limitations due to the 90 T optimum mass of the 3A-e thrusters, the DBS with class 4 power and thrusters doesn't have these restrictions and with a combination of thruster tuning and lightweight mods would probably exceed 400 m/s cruise and it's stock armour is a lot better than the other three.

With it's excellent hardpoint placement it can make better use of it's weapons as well so don't write it off just yet
