Debris field

Saw one of these yesterday in a system near Eravate. It had nothing in it save a few NPC and player ships but is this something new? And a promising sign for the near future?

These aren't new, though. I started a thread with exactly the same title back in march, and they weren't new, then, either

I just found a huge persistent debris field in the Falisci system. I had found debris fields in "Unknown Signal Sources" before, often with some scoopable canisters, but this one was actually named "debris field" in my nav menu while I was in Supercruise (see screenshots). It was also much, much bigger than any debris field I had encountered so far.

It had a really cool, haunted atmosphere, with what appeared to be the hulls of destroyed Imperial Clippers and other ships, but no cargo. Clearly, this was what remained from a huge battle.

It's also worth mentioning that the debris field was persistent, so once I left the field and returned to SC, it was still there and didn't vanish from the navigation menu like an ordinary USS.

I wonder what happened here? Are these the results of some large battles that took place in Falisci recently (I recall seeing the system mentioned in the GalNet news, lately).

Or where these noble Imperial vessels destroyed by some other...unknown, enemy?

Ah, must have been flying around with my eyes closed! Pity nothing else has been done with them yet then if they were here back in March. Maybe 'soon' we can find some unexpected things there!
