So, the Debug Camera is awesome. We've seen some great photos form the Elite: Dangerous universe, however, as a photographer, I can't help but feel that I'd love to see it... Upgraded.
Upgraded with focus, much(MUCH MUCH MUCH!!!) more zoom, perhaps even shutter speed, blur, and, well, anything else a full featured DSLR/mirrorless "semi-pro" grade camera may offer.
At the moment, it's like having a single lens, with a tiny aperture that insures everything is in focus, but said additions would result in some incredible images - sure, if you want to spend a few hours in photoshop, you'd probably be able to get some of the effects going, but it would be so awesome to get them in game off the bat.
Now, I hate to harp on about Forza, as I find it a great example of how custom skins and, also, photography, are extremely well implemented (as far as a console game goes, anyway).
But here's a (very old) example of mine. Now, imagine your Asp, flying over the rings of Saturn, where that Lotus is your Asp, and the road is the rings, giving the impression of speed...

The next pic is a real pic, but demonstrates the use of aperture to focus on a subject, and blur the background, along with the fact this was taken on a 100mm lens, which helps to compress the foreground and background.

And an example of something similar from Forza...
Basically, my point is... Think of the potential! I'd love to take a pic of my tiny Asp in front of a gas giant, with the camera zoomed far enough out that the Asp only takes up 2% of the image - or less.
Anyway, I know there are millions of things that need to be dealt with, however... Please consider...
