December update, no costum music and screens

So as far as i have understood the costum screens and music, that we have been promised being "added on later" is not said as being part of the big december update. I don't understand why frontier didn't give us these at launch, it ware in planet coaster 1. Anyway, i am really disappointed to not see it being listed as one of the features in the big december update.

Maybe it’s locked behind a SHOW dlc and we get fireworks as well? So weird it wasn’t a base feature in PC2 as it was in the first game. Gosh I thought the screens would be updated with new options and a firework creator and laser drawing like in RCT3. I guess we can hope it’s being fleshed out to be better than ever. Ugh at this point we just need a game that works like it’s supposed to. I mean there a quite a lot of bugs to iron out in this beast of a title.

I rarely used random billboards, but what i do miss are some default video options. All the small ad videos and the default "story" Teasers are gone. So yes, i am missing my ad screens

Using too many billboards often caused lag, but since there's no Thememakers Toolkit available to create your own images on custom objects, billboards are sorely needed now...

I think I can say I was the biggest advocate for the inclusion of Custom Music in Planet Coaster 1. Needless to say I was greatly dissapointed when this feature didn't make it into the new game from the start. However I'm delighted it has been soft-confirmed for a future update.

Let's all be a bit carefull about jumping to conclusions about why a certain feature isn't in the game. We don't know for sure what is under the hood of the game, it can be removed of postponed for lots of reasons that we have no clue about. Most important for me is the fact they adressed our feedback by saying it will most probably be added back in the future.

Personally I sit tight and wait for a lot of Planco 1 stuff to make a return (including Custom music, but also various missing planco 1 rides like the Rocktopus and the Fries shop)

Indeed!

Let’s hope all (or most of) those features will be brought back from Planet Coaster 1 into Planet Coaster 2.

I miss the good old Rocktopus too. At least we have its ride music in the game.

I am excited to get custom music, because I’d love to use tracks of my real-life park soundtracks in Planet Coaster 2, for example the music of Chiapas, or any other track produced by IMAscore.

Agreed about the lag, but I used them a lot, especially for more detailed walls and ground covering.
