Decent trade route near Lave?

I bounty hunted up to a cobra, but now I cant seem to make much profits from any cargo run that I do... I can't seem to find any way to upgrade my cobra.
Im sitting on 22 cargo space and 60 000. Are there any decent routes around my location, or would buying mining equipment bring me more money?

I avoided playing the game during most of the beta phases to avoid the wipes, and now I feel like I'm lacking a lot of general knowledge :(

Buy Lavian Brandy and ship it around 160 ly away in any direction before selling for 16k+ per ton profit.

As said above just buy some of lave fine brandy fly as far as you and be bothered, sell it. Only done it the once myself but a great way to make profits and explore new areas.

If you're looking for something with a bit less travel, take tobacco from Reorte's main station to its mining outpost. You should be able to pick up metal or mineral transport missions for the return leg, but even with an empty hold I still made more money than any other local route I could find.

Do what they say - top tip is to fly to another place that has rare goods, and buy THOSE next, then reverse course, or fly to a third port with rare goods. Eranin has some, and is far enough away to make it worthwhile selling....

I just made a run from Eranin to Lave to Sol in my Lakon type 6. I am well over a million credis richer. That little lakon now is pimped to the gills and I still have a million in the bank. Those rare good runs are the dogs biskers and he cats whiskers! :D

They are loooong hauls though. I really learned how to make use of the star map depsite being in an oculus. It also helps Lave and Sol are marked as distant regions in the map. Makes it easier to plot your course.

A more automated routeplanner would be nice to have. When it comes tough, I will still be doing it manually as I do it now because 'that's how we did it back then and that's how real men do it!' :cool:

I tend to frequent the following stations in varying orders depending on the collect missions I find
Lave
Leesti
Neganhot (via Reorte)
CD-34-9020 (has many upgrades)

If you want to pick off some pirates then Quator or Reidequat are often good.
