Decided to dip my toes into the murky waters of beta testing

Having listened to all you CMDRs discussing your exploits in the beta testing realm I have decided to join in the fun.

I have a few (bone) questions before I start:

1. Credits: will my own credit balance be protected in my 'real' account?
2. Ships: Will I have unlimited access?
3. Funds: Do you get money to start with?

Silly questions I know but I want to help other non beta players the way you guys are doing, seems only right.

1. Yes. Like Vegas, what happens in Beta stays in Beta.
2. All prices on ships and modules are at 10% of their normal values. Probably go to founder's world to be able to find all of them in one place. Not sure about rank requirements for federation / empire.
3. Beta uses a save state that's two weeks old from your normal account (but doing anything in beta doesn't affect the normal game at all). Meaning you will have the credit balance you had two weeks ago.

And its jolly good whizzing around in a fully specced Clipper which i wouldnt get to try otherwise as i'm a serf!

Yep, beta is a brilliant opportunity to do really stupid stuff too, fitted out a corvette with all dumbfire missiles and as much armor and shields as she could carry and took on lave station... I lost, but had a hell of a lot of fun loosing :D

Thanks for that link, it's excellent.

So I'm ok to self destruct my Conda in beta and start again? It won't screw up my horizons (real) profile?
