I'm planning on buying a box of Lego next month. I think it will help my anger issues greatly to have a simple toy I can play with. I already use adult colouring books.

I see this as an investment in my health. Lego is sturdy stuff, so this purchase should last for life. Especially as I'm not so careless now.

With this in mind, do you think I should go all-out and buy a 1500-piece box? I'm thinking this would be the best value because like I say, lifetime investment.

I'm also almost certainly going to become an uncle in a few years so it's nice to think I'd have something to share with my nephew/niece.

What are your thoughts?

I simply can't think of any downsides here.

Except perhaps:

I've always fancied one of the Star Wars UCS kits, but I haven't won the lottery yet.

Get a longbow instead its extremely zen.

I don't think someone with violent psychotic episodes like me should own a potentially lethal weapon. :D

Lego bricks hurt if you stand on them, but they're not dangerous.

More Lego is always better. HOWEVER, you said you'd be playing with a future nephew. Don't let those grubby little hands get a hold of your precious Lego. I've lost more than a few pieces because of those (lovable) rugrats. Also, you're not likely to buy the ones that are kid-safe (i.e. large enough that they won't swallow them). Buy a separate set to play with the youngins.

I was thinking more when the nephew/niece is 6+. Lifetime investment and all that.

I don't want to be an [expletive] like my uncles are.

If you check the packaging; I think you'll find that they are. :D

Okay, let me put it another way:

You could easily rob a shop by walking in there with bow and arrow. But I doubt the same would be true if I walked in and started throwing lego pieces around. :D

You can also buy the Millennium Falcon in "collector" edition (ref 75192), released in September 2017 and which is composed of 7541 pieces.

If you have 800 euros to spend of course.

Believe me, I have never seen anything cooler.

But it would actually go against my motive.

I'm getting a box of generic pieces specifically to allow my brain to create. Doesn't matter what, just that it be theraputic.

Have you also considered aircrafts (or others) models to assemble and paint ? An excellent domain for the creation.
