decontamination limpets (thargoid fight)

Hi

I was just watching a video on youtube and heard that you need decontamination limpets when fighting thargoids. why do you need them?

The can shoot you with slime which damages you until you either overheat to around 200%, or use a decon limpet.

Possibly a naive question - why is this in the VR Forum? I don't know, how religious are we about posting in the correct forums? Maybe it's more like guidance.
