Is that I can hardly keep a straight face when reading some posts around here. I don't know if it is different in the UK or if things have changed on Sol since I left or what, but back in the US 'ED' is almost exclusively (and, when it comes to radio and television, excessively) used as the default abbreviation for Erectile Dysfunction.

Seriously, once you start substituing 'ED' with 'Erectile Dysfunction' when reading posts, even the ones that normaly cause blood to spurt from the eyeballs suddenly become mildly humorous.

Just google: "how to fix ED"

We don't have problems with erectile dysfunction in the UK so I guess it's just a US thing

That's not a problem, it's a feature! Most of the doom threads are amusing simply because people like throwing all their toys out of the pram over a game... I mean, E: D does have some problems, but they're really not that huge an issue.

Do the denizens of USA know that USA is a common abbreviation in the UK for Udder Simplex Anglophobe? Many a time when my valet is reading excerpts from the forum we both chortle immensley when this abbreviation is used.

Obviously he is soundly thrashed afterwards for expressing his opinion in front of his betters....
