Deeper Customization

I've read here and there, and watched several videos, but one thing has eluded me. Dinosaur Customization. Just how much fun are we going to be able to have with the dna system? Are we limited to a few colors and patterns? If I wanted to make a Stegosaurus with bright blue bio luminescent plates could I have it? What if I decided I wanted a sauropod with a sail and a triceratops head. (that's just a random example) All I really want to know is what I'm going to have at my fingertips. If there is a lot to play with, I could see myself spending endless time making new and different things, but if all we are talking here is a few things to make a singular model a different color and more hardy, and resistant to disease. I'll admit I'll be sorely disappointed with it. I think it'll be fun, but that's a lot of renewable game play that simply won't be there. call it an opportunity missed.

Somewhere out there I know someone is going to reference that mobile Jurassic World game where you can mix things. That requires ludicrous amounts of time and money and is only used for fighting. Not what I'm looking for.

Could I get some answers and clarification?

I think you can customize the Dinosaurs strength, toughness/defense, aggressiveness and other things. Color is just one of many.

I've made a topic the other day about the same thing... No one seems to know, and we haven't really seen anything from the videos either.

Guess we'll have to wait for that E3 showing.

The dinosaurs will have different skins and genes that can be edited like PCMR4Life said, however the depth of customisation you want is pretty much impossible without mods imo. The most likely scenario which would bring more depth to species customisation would be some skins would alter the dinosaurs looks quite significantly, such as a JP3 raptor skin, or a Lost World Stegosaurus skin (as structurally the counterparts we've seen are very different). However I doubt there will be much more than that due to the volume of customisation for so many different species.

What you seem to want most, is if we can create our own hybrids from the dinosaur species we have? No we cannot!

For colour customization there are 12 different options on the game to choose from, now each dinosaur will be able to choose from a select number of those 12, but not use everyone of them. You also are not going to be able to create random dinosaurs either. The only Hybrids that we know we can make are the Indom and the Indo Raptor.
