If you defect from a power it mentions forces from that power will hunt you down for a day, how much effort do they put in and is docking at stations controlled by said power prohibited. Also do I still register as an enemy if I go to systems controlled by other powers during that same day.

Yes you'll still be registered as an enemy by the powers other then the one that you defected too, docking with stations is the same, just that it'll read "hostile" but the station nor the security will bother you unless your rep with that particular minor faction is "hostile" or your wanted and get scanned. The Power you defected from will send Bounty Hunters after you for a set amount of days dependent on your rating with them.

Interesting. I do not wish to enter into any such time bound credit grinds. I may find it slightly more fun to look up the PowerPlay controller for my locality and join all 9 others and defect immediately in turn. Just let's see how many come looking for me and if I gain anything for defending myself. i.e. I will be unpledged again.
