Summary
System: 42 n Persei
Station: Bennington's Rest (Ocellus Starport, large pads available, 17 Ls from main star, 268.47 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Pilots Federation Combat Bonds from destroying Thargoid ships
Time limit: None

Description
Swarms of Thargoid vessels have invaded the 42 n Persei, Chun Pindit and Tekkeitjal systems in an apparently coordinated attack.
Vox Galactica published this report by field correspondent Ernesto Rios:
Since the Thargoids conquered HIP 22460 a month ago, their presence has gradually expanded in all directions. But these are the first inhabited systems to be invaded since the Proteus Wave incident, threatening a combined population of over seven million people.
Defensive operations are being orchestrated by Sirius Inc from the starport Bennington's Rest in the 42 n Persei system. Thargoid combat bonds can be handed in at this location for increased credit rewards.
The first part of the campaign begins on the 12th September and will run until further notice. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the situation will be re-assessed.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Pilots Federation Combat Bonds at Bennington's Rest in the 42 n Persei system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Social Space

They aren't attacking the stations. If these CGs succeed, the situation will have to be "re-assessed" because their success will have prompted the Thargoids to change their minds about the station not being a threat.

Retreat, or at least hold off on the suicidal military moves until it is confirmed that the evacuation is complete.

Do we actually get evac missions from intact stations or is this just pure fluff text?

I expect fluff, though I've never actually checked the passenger board, maybe there will be some people saying "i would like to not be here thanks".

They mention extra payout at Bennington's Rest, Samuda Terminal and Riemann Colony. Thargoid combat bonds can be handed in at these locations for increased credit rewards. How much extra? If it isn't the 100% from power play then it doesn't make me wanna hand them in there.

There are 8 tiers So we arenot going to know untill tier 1 is reached... last time the reward was peanuts..

As I asked a similar question...

These "increased rewards" sound like the bonds themselves (Cylcops 8M, Basi 24M?, etc.) are higher. But that isn't true, right? I can't check, but I am curious as well.
If this "increased rewards" phrase relates to the CG payout then ... well ... you are right these were peanuts! Even times 3 these would be peanuts ...

Ummm - no - just going to hang onto my grelics until I know for certain that they are not a crafting mat.

Until then - actually not going to participate in any CGs with a hold filled with green glowies.

Not all of us have FCs you know.

I'd store them for you but if they stop you from murdering an alien species, that's a win for me I'm afraid.

Right what people have not stated is that the AX conflict zones are the Newer AX conflict zones. So depends...

The Low, medium and high AX conflict zones these pay a bonus per stage cleared... and they change that bonus per stage reward based on there level...
Taking part in Clearing scouts in a high pays a bonus higher than killing scouts in a low for a bonus...
These are newer than the old AX conflict zones... but they were added before in the war, they pay more as NHSS never give the bonus..
If you clear the first wave of interceptors they pay a bigger bonus..
Low 5million, medium was 10mill, high was 15mill, so yes these AX are paying more than old ones..
kill and clear hydra stage and get another bonus all these bonuses can be claimed and count for CG place...
So yes they pay more if you do higher AX conflict zone than the old ones...

The issue is any one who did them last time had capital class ships and deactivated swarms as they would instadamage capital ship...
This time theres no capital ship and the swarm is aggressive and no longer on self defence only.,,
If you do high and get cyclop cyclops cyclops and yet another cyclops and you survive 3 being in the same instance youll get the bonus worth over two more cyclops of 15mill...
But if you get a medusa in the drop i would not bother... and restart the AX zone....

And yes first fight and they drop a medusa on me instantly.... boo.. no cyclops as a warm up dam

Suspect it's just poor wording, referring to the "reward" payouts from the CGs which are tiny compared to the actual bond amounts.

It's interesting that the announcement says there is no end date, but the CG in-game clearly shows an ending time. Also that the stations weren't attacked and now they are the CG hand-in locations; so if we complete them, there's no meta-gaming reason for the stations to remain operational...

Less than 55M for several Scouts, a Cyclops and a Medusa in a completed low AX CZ. I reckon the value of bonds is not increased.

Are the bugs in CZs tougher than normally? I felt like even the Cyclops was a challenge for our full wing while normally I can solo it with no issues...
