Summary
System: Chun Pindit
Station: Samuda Terminal (Ocellus Starport, large pads available, 60,251 Ls from main star, 182.12 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Pilots Federation Combat Bonds from destroying Thargoid ships
Time limit: None

Description
Swarms of Thargoid vessels have invaded the 42 n Persei, Chun Pindit and Tekkeitjal systems in an apparently coordinated attack.
Vox Galactica published this report by field correspondent Ernesto Rios:
Since the Thargoids conquered HIP 22460 a month ago, their presence has gradually expanded in all directions. But these are the first inhabited systems to be invaded since the Proteus Wave incident, threatening a combined population of over seven million people.
Defensive operations are being orchestrated by SI Terraforming from the starport Samuda Terminal in the Chun Pindit system. Thargoid combat bonds can be handed in at this location for increased credit rewards.
The first part of the campaign begins on the 12th September and will run until further notice. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the situation will be re-assessed.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Pilots Federation Combat Bonds at Samuda Terminal in the Chun Pindit system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Black market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Social Space

Are Scouts getting smarter or what?
Grinded my rank by fighting hundreds of them in Threat 2 NHSSes long time ago, but now in the same Krait build I'm getting my a** heavily kicked.
And that's in Low CZ.
The moment I drop in, I quickly lose my shield (Bi-W 6C), missiles are fired and hull is down to 90% in no time. The CZ is mostly red and immediately at least 3 of them are on me.
If Scouts are buffed for CG CZ, guess I'll need a bigger ship and shield.

Edit: changing to G5 Prismatics helped a lot + putting combo of 2x AX MC/2x Shard Cannons. Made me go through Scout phase up to first Interceptor.

One more run away with tail between limpets like this and I'm shamefully removing that holo bobblehead.
They really are pi**ed off... so kudos to you Cmdrs who can handle this s.

...they haven't changed at all? Not sure where this "10x harder" is coming from.
Probably just more of them than in an old threat 2 NHSS, and that means more buffs (regeneration, faster movement, missiles) from the different types.
I'd go with this explanation.
There indeed is more than 4 of them in CZ and dropping in there solo (not in wing with anyone) the pressure does look like 10x when they all start chasing you.
Of course, this is from my mediocre AX Cmdr perspective.

Question/Help
So me and friend teamed up for the CG .. he jumps on my ship and we got and kill a few goids .. get back to the station I turn in the combat bonds .... He gets no credit at all .. no bonds .. no progress on CG .. so what gives?

Multicrew is just less rewarding than Wings. Wings you get full copies of the bonds, multicrew you get a small credit bonus but it's the wrong type to go to the CG.

Originally that was because in a Wing you're risking your ship and therefore a rebuy, while in multicrew you lose nothing if it goes wrong ... but with a lot of Odyssey activities also being "no loss" ones but paying full rewards (ground CZs, for example) that justification doesn't really hold together now.

So them Teams falls under multicrew then? I thought it was like wings..
So since he does not have an AX ship and limited play time what would be the best option for him to still participate and earn rewards?

Teams is the generic term for both Wings and Multicrew (since in Odyssey you can mix the two to some extent) but you get paid depending on whether you're flying your own ship or not.

He needs a cheap ship of any type with a single AX weapon purchased and fitted at minimum..with a xeno scanner in the utility slot to allow lock on to hearts... As long as the rebuy values never add up to over 8 mill he will be a head once the cyclops drops dead for 8 mill - the rebuys... so about 7 million ahead if using a cobra..
Cyclops dies in <10mins
Bigger ships should plan to ride the lightning instead of the small ship.... big ships should be carrying decon and repair limpets as normal they can then target allies to repair small ships..
AX multi cannons turrets self fire at looked on targets. so he just needs to buzz the objective while in the wing and it multi cannon tags the target...

This might be the way to go.. it will still take a play session or two since his limited play time (2 hours total) .. We were doing it in a Krait I bought and hooked up just for goid hunting but I might refit my cutter and take on the big ship role. Would be easier if he had elite rank so we can just have him visit Shinrarta Dezhra and do a one stop shop.

Which ships can outrun Interceptors?
In CG sometimes I do need some time alone away, but they just keep chasing my Krait poking its hull. Two of them at once a few moments ago, coming like there are no other green NPCs, doh.
I've seen Cutter can be a fast&safe AX ship (already using one as trader and other as miner, so know how they fly).

Depends on the type of interceptor.
Most of them have a top speed of 450m/s which is lower than most ship's boost speed. The exception is the Basilisk which has a top speed of 530m/s, a trick if you can't outrun it is flipping over (using FA off), activating silent running and boosting directly past it. They take a long time to turn around so you should end up with a lot of distance in between.

Yes, I'm doing the flip for highwake survival and just saw that I should use heatsinks too.
Anyway, I'd like to outrun them and return to battle if possible. In Krait I'm permaboosting up to 357 so they are always faster.
