Has anyone compared the stuff you find in either one? The degraded transmissions seem to be more common, however I find more rare and very rare stuff in the encoded transmissions. I go 'jackpot' whenever I see one. Has anyone else noticed this?

I've noticed the same.
In the last Encoded USS I picked up 4-5 very rates (cannot remember which one though).
