Delayed reset of triggered items

I cant seem to find a way to delay the reset of a triggerable item. Having something trigger on a flat ride is great, until moments later you see it fix itself. Makes me hesitate to use any which makes me sad. [cry]
 
This is one of my top wishes for the game! I suggested a "pause" function a little while ago, so doors and other animatronics could be stopped partway through their animation cycle, and then either continue playing from the pause point, or be reset to the beginning again.
 
YES! For instance...if you put the grabbing mummy inside the animated coffin, the lid slams closed before the mummy is done wiggling around. But if it could stay open a set number of seconds...then it would work.
 
Suggested several times before, for good reason. An unfortunate design oversight that the animations can't be paused at the halfway point, and their reset cues controlled via sequencers. Instead, someone at Frontier decides how many seconds the doors can remain open.

I just timed the rolling boulder... it gets reset after just 3 seconds!! [shocked]

We've been asked to make "stunt shows" where the stage is viewed not from a moving coaster, but from fixed stadium seats. Seeing animations reset is a bummer and kills the illusion. [cry]

When using the re-motion ride, the ride-cam is often fixed on one area for longer. It makes no sense from a theme park design point of view, for guests to witness animatronics resetting themselves before the ride has time to leave the area.

Come on Frontier! You know what needs to be done. [up]
