I have deleted my Elite Dangerous program folder.


Does that mean I will have to download Elite Dangerous again and start from the very beginning and re-grind the hundreds of hours again?

Your progress is on fdev's servers, so that will be preserved. But yes, you need to re-download the game.

stab in the dark i expect you have, but check youre recycle bin

Might it be in the Recycle Bin still?

If so, restore it and then verify the files tin case some have been corrupted.

As stated already, all your progress, ships, credits etc are stored on the servers so you have lost none of that.

Your journal files (logs) are stored in your saved games tree on the computer and all your options (including binds, graphics and audio settings etc) are stored on the PC in the appdata tree. So you have lost none of that as well.
