PvP Delicious experience in open play :) - Enjoy!

Lol...

I want to make it clear that I do not condone such behavior of ganking.

Destroying a DBX with a Corvette is hardly a challenge, and this entire interaction was just for the love of destruction. And while I personally choose not to play my game like this and look down upon those who do in disappointment, I couldn't help but laugh a little at Ed's reaction.

Poor Ed. Sorry, dude.

Poor Ed indeed ;) but this is just the problem; where is the fun :S:rolleyes:

How is it possible that someone on the staff who plays this game still hasn't learned how not to be griefed!?

Submit and high wake! That's it!

Ed's Revenge! Can't wait to see that live stream, should be good.

Rubble... ship rubble everywhere.

Adam Woods, very cool response: "what is fulfilling is... working in games". Nice. :)

Yeah, that's why it sucks to be ganked - nothing to do with not understanding that ED is just a game/loss of credits/loss of your collection of pixels - it is just that someone deliberately wasted some of your finite recreation time for no other reason than to irritate you!

Having said that, Ed's attempts to escape were simply pathetic - how long has he been playing, again? :O - panic into the galmap [haha], no submission, no evasion, no system pre-selected & no drop down after high wake.

"Oy vey!!!" [blah] Some people just deserve to be killed!

It humanizes Ed from the normal God like persona he usually has!

Ed, it's all good PR!

Also, if this was staged by Ed to garner sympathy, it was an Oscar worthy performance!

Either way my respect for Ed goes up and all for for such a small rebuy!

Yeah -

Look he obviously could have done about 672 things better than he did. But that doesn't stop me from feeling bad for him.

Some people are asking how someone from the staff can be so bad at the game...Remember that Elite has a really steep learning curve, and not everyone working on the game plays it as much as we might. This dude has collected 11 million credits on his personal account and is Mostly Harmless...He's inexperienced.

There's no rule which states that he needs to be an absolute pro, or even competent at the game. Perhaps he enjoys a more casual approach to Elite.

Remember Ed is part of the community team. And it's something he's quite good at :)

He did a good job at trying to prevent interdiction. Was that other guy that much better or does the size of FSD, iterdictor etc. play a role in this?

My dear FD, welcome to the open mode, the festival of ******* griefers...

I really don't understand why they don't implement a PvE mode, with PvP possibilities in conflict zones, it would be a simple way to solve this absurd problem...

We do love this one. Getting salty over someone else's death? :D

They don't implement it for several reasons, one being that...they don't want to. If you want a harmless experience, play NMS.

Oh, and SFE? Damn forum griefers.

Great work there by the gankers. They need to keep doing this against devs. Eventually Ed is going to get tired of this and go screaming at the devs to make interdictions easy to avoid. Can't wait for the threads after that happens :D

That was weird to watch.

He knew he was being interdicted by another player, for more than 30 seconds.

Yet he fails to boost upon leaving SC, doesn't change his pips to all shields after the first boost,
instead he tries to jump to another system after getting interdicted?
How can you not know that your FSD is in cooldown after losing an interdiction?

Ten points awarded if the devs turn around and shout "yeah well git gud mate!"

The best part is - he avoided it first time being super happy about it. And then jumped again to the same system :) Oh well, they have already promised more C&P, maybe in future the player killer would have to relocate cause the cops would start chasing him.

The look on Adam's face when he said that was absolutely priceless! :D

I feel bad for Ed, being griefed on a live stream is getting REALLY old now, nobody enjoys it and I totally share Ed's frustration with it. As I've said elsewhere, it's a shame but I think private groups is probably the way to go.

Oh, and on the subject of how come Ed isn't better at this ... I think people underestimate how difficult it is to simultaneously play the game and host a livestream. The guys at FD do play the game a lot and they're pretty good at it, very good in fact, it's just that when you're trying to concentrate on several things at once the brain goes to jelly and you make silly mistakes. Ed did alright in my book. [up]
