Deliver Package mission Odyssey

Hey all - I was away from the game for a while - just came back and took a mission where I have to deliver a package to a specific person in an Odyssey settlement.

Found the person on the plant - cannot figure out how to hand over the package.

I saw a couple of videos that indicates I should be able to press E to interact with them and complete the mission, but for me it simply doesn't work.

What am I missing? (yes I do have the data package in my backpack)

Tried relogging? Sometimes they get distracted

Tried that - am I supposed to avoid being scanned at the base (even by the person I am handing the mission to)?

Yes, press E to interact (it will list an option to hand over the item) but it can be a bit fussy

Nope. Unless you're carrying illegals, but I haven't found that to be the case even on smuggling missions.

You might have to wait for them to get off the plant.

I have tried pressing E and all that to no avail. The person just ignores me and every so often scans me. I have tried relogging and also going back into SC and returning to the site.

The other thing is that normally, when you are in a mission in progress I think there is a message on the screen telling you what your objectives are - this doesn't exist in this case so I am thinking somehow the game doesn't recognise that I am trying to complete a mission in this settlement. (although the target NPC does show as a mission objective in the console).

I suspect this mission is bugged, which is unfortunate as it's the first one I tried for quite a few weeks since the last 2 updates I think.

I had a case with a guard where the E option didnt work straight away, but it worked eventually, trying different angles. Other cases worked imnediately, but I havent done a vast number of those missions.

Normally they will show with a mission objective in the top right (it's the only way I know who to talk to!), so that does sound bugged.

I've had a few missions with similar behavior. No objectives in the top right corner, mission items not spawning, etc. Couldn't finish any of those either so it does smell like a bug.
