Delivery mission didn't reward?

Just playing the Beta 1 on the Open world. Excellent job indeed - I love it!

Just a question. I did a simple delivery mission for 1 Leather from Eranin to Aulin. I arrived at Aulin, went to the "Bulletin Board", selected the mission and clicked "Give Cargo". I didn't get a single credit in reward, expecting to get 3,180 or so! :(
Is this a bug or did I just do something incorrectly?

You get your money by returning to the starport where you got the mission I think. It crashed before I could get into the starport to collect. In the left hand MFD it will say under missions collect payment, and it says at the bottom where you got the mission.

This confused me as well, simply because it said "paid on delivery" in the description.

But yeah, I heeded Baker's advice, and if you return to where you got the mission, you can cash in at the Bulletin Board. :)

Well, that tab still says "collect on delivery" - in fact, that's what irritated me; I went to check the mission description only to see that I should be getting paid where I already am.

However, it also gives you the name of the station where you got that mission, so it takes just a bit of logic to connect the dots and return.

I definitely think this could be made more intuitive, either by altering the mission description (probably the easiest way), or actually ensuring that payments are made upon arrival at the target location, rather than the point of origin. The Bank of Zaonce seems quite capable of "wiring money" on other occasions.

In the case of a delivery mission, this doesn't make much sense. But on top of that, I was hoping for a sort of courier gameplay hopping around from system to system on delivery contracts, but when you always have to go back to the same starport, you'll basically just circle around the same few systems unless you deliberate go somewhere else without taking a mission.:(

I had this problem too.

My mission from Eranin was to take Leather to Aulin for a 3,???cr reward.
This required a jump through iBootis (but easy inside a single fuel load).
Let's call it a hop ;)

I did it once and sold the flamin leather in Commidities rather than redeeming it in the BB! Doh!

So back I went, collected more leather, hopped through iBootis after a refuel and this time went straight into the BB (Bulletin Board).

I was offered the option to GIVE leather x1, I clicked accept but have not been rewarded.

This may be a issue for Support Ticket, if someone can confirm please I'll gladly inform devs.

I also noticed a glitch in the BB right hand title window & some truncated text in the mission descriptions.

I managed to complete a delivery mission and yes, you only get paid when you get back to the original base (where you did get the Mission initially).

Was a bit scared whn at the delivery I got nothing! :p
I never collected over 3000Creds so fast.

To the point I think those delivery missions are a bit Overpaid...

WAIT, did I just say that?!? :D

I had the same problem (and came to this thread looking for the answer). I think it's a bit strange that you have to collect your reward in the original station, that way you have to travel twice as far for a mission. Also, in 3300 AC..... can't they just wire transfer the credits to me? ;)

The most difficult part for me is that the description does show you which station you have to return to get your money, but not the planet where that station is located. Might not be a problem now, but will be a problem with 400 bil star systems.

Also there is some lag when you hand the mission in that it doesn't update your money instantly making it look like it is broken when it isn't.

I got into a nice little earner this morning running between 2 stations where I was picking up a mission at A running to B being given another mission to back to A as well as handing in the first mission at A.

And rinse and repeat, 20k earned in a very short time with a payout every run.

For the last 3 delivery missions I've done, once delivered, the mission disappears from the mission window. I never got paid, and I've even gone back to the original star port.

For the last mission, I made sure to note my credit balance, and verified I didn't get paid at 1) Arriving at the delivery dock, 2) Landing at the delivery dock, 3) going to the bulletin board and giving the item (mission disappears at this point*), 4), arriving back at the originating dock, nor 5) docking at the original dock. I couldn't find anything at the bulletin either for collecting.


* When I first started (really, 1.02), the mission updated to have to return for payment.
