Delivery stored ship to my location?

Hi Commanders,
does anyone understand the feature to store a ship?
I stored my Type 6 to have some fun in my Viper and now I am quite far away from it but want to change again... How is that gonna work? If I work myself through the galaxy I will leave ships spreaded all over?? In that way the feature to store a ship is completely nonsense. As you would have to fly back to grap it and leave the other ship at that station.. ^^ I dont get it..

Pretty much sits where ever you "store" it. If you want to fly it again, you have to return to that port to change back.

I personally buy a new ship, store the old one
Fly it to my home port.
Buy a Sidewinder, store the new ship.
Fly back to where I bought said new ship and my other ship is now stored.
Sell the sidewinder and change back to the old ship.
Fly back to my home port.
I have six ships there now.

Exactly. yes.

there has been talk/request to implement featured that will either let you pay someone else to fly your ship somewhere, or for you to sture you current ship where you are and pay a passenger flight back to where your old ship is.

But the basic mechanic is currently sound. You left your ship stored in stationA, then flew a long way to station B in your other ship. How could your first ship magically move itself to where you are now? That just wouldn't make sense.

There really should be a way to order the ship to my current position. Pay a pilot and wait for some hours and it should arrive...

It's a ' delivery game; there sure as heck be a way to get your ship delivered to where you want it for some modicum fee! It's silly to have to back-track in such a huge game-world. Can someone point me to the feature request so i can add my +1 to the request?

You would go to the bulletin board and hire a NPC pilot to fly it to you. *
