"Delivery Wing mission payouts have been increased and the cargo requirement decreased"

Distance is definitely affecting rewards.
But I am seeing 4-6 million "short hop" Wing Missions in Cubeo/HIP 5623/HIP 5700.
And the cargo requirements aren't ...onerous.
A Cutter/Type 9 can do most of the ones I'm seeing done in less than 10 trips. Which on a single jump to and fro...is easymode.
I'm also seeing several smaller cargo runs that when stacked, are great for smaller ships (Especially ones that are repping up. Or need Data/Materials).

Just grabbed a 171 Lightyear jump with 84 cargo requirement with a 4 million payout. Which in my Asp is simple.
But Man....I gotta Engineer my Cutter's FSD...lol.
 
Been seeing these long haul missions appear after every minor patch goes live, they start to disappear again after a few days.

This is really weird but seems you are correct. I haven't left dock yet from when I checked a few hours ago, and now all the wing missions are one hop again. Had no idea to expect that when I started this thread.
 
If they have already reverted that would explain why i hadnt seen it either.

The updates are usually out for half a day when i get home from work.

Yup. Confirmed. The long hauls all just evaporated.
Noted that the systems i saw them in changed state though (HIP 5623 went to Outbreak for example. Now all the long hauls are gone...).
I'm not enough brain to follow all that and correlate.
 
They seem to show up early on Thursday mornings as well, so maybe it's server resets that do it?

Well, this has happened twice now to me. Last thursday morning I could get long range missions. They had evaporated by the time I got back from work. Today, OP posted screen caps of long range trading missions after the update (and server downtime). I'm at that station now, and they have evaporated again!

I came here hoping that long range delivery missions had finally made their way back into the game. I wish they'd have a half life longer than a snowflake in a supernova! :(

Has anyone filled a bug report?

It seems to me that changing missions is like changing the wax ring of a toilet - takes a little time, a couple tools, and a few days of sitting on it for it settle.
 
Thus far we're seeing missions at 3-4k tons for 3-5Mcr. Not worth doing. Wing mission spawn rates are abysmal with upwards of 10 solo missions for every one wing mission.
 
The very first version of Wing Missions were balanced fine for payout.

FD needed to just make them pay proportionally to how much each player contributed. Looks like that will never happen now.
 
Ok so i totally jumped the gun:(

Other than the balance pass it looks like everything is pretty much as you were.

Checked my two new places and all looks good. Other than the wing balance pass all looks the same.

Wing delivery/fetch missions still feel out of reach unless your wing is 4 fully optimised ships. Even then im not so sure id bother with them. As is my wing mates in T9's and myself can haul 2100t a go and im struggling to see the point, engineer mats aside. Credits and Rep can be gained quicker from other activities.
 
I hope FD have also improved the payout for wing fetch missions. I did one on the weekend for food for a station in famine. Worked out afterwards that it was paying about a third the profit for actually trading the same amount of commodities. More rep for the trading than the mission as well.
 
It all looks to be balanced around optimised wings of 4 for the trade missions.

Spreading the cost of the commodities across the wing for fetch missions looks to be the optimal way. That and making sure the commodity in question is of sufficent value.

Im using extarction/refinery and high tech in boom if possible and they seem to give the best credit rewards if you can get missions with the right commodities.

Still though,fully allied with everyone in system,2 factions in boom,67% tycoon trade rank,wing of 3 that can haul 2100t in a run and i still dont look at these trade missions and think there really worthwhile.
