Demands

Please make demands more realistic.

You drop out of super cruise in front of spacedock, suddenly you get a message: "I need my delivery in a hurry. I'll pay 20,000Cr if you deliver it within..." then something stupid like 10 minutes or 2 hours when you're just 30 seconds os so away from landing. Who would throw their credits away like that? Same with passengers asking to be delivered within a specific time when you're just moments away from landing anyway. Splashing cash is all well and good, but it's nonsense when they do it in this almost charitable manner. The whole "urgently needed for bonus credits" system needs some work to make it feel like you're actually achieving something, not having credits thrown at you for the sake of it. I do like when they say "need it in 2 minutes" after you've just arrived in the system and have 500Ls or so to go, it adds some urgency and the risk of interdiction en route, or to take it to another system altogether for ~50,000Cr is realistic enough. The rest, as described, is poorly handled.

I also find passengers who demand certain supplies "for comfort" when I'm making a 1 jump trip utterly pointless... never going to go out of my way to find commodities for the sake of an extra 10,000Cr and don't care if they spit their dummy out over it, in real life I'd just throw them out an airlock. These types of demands should be changed and only made when the passenger is on a long-distance trip, like 100Ly or more, not a mere 5Ly or even 30Ly trip with no stops. Again, it's a good idea but poorly handled by the game, offering no real thrill or sense of realism.

Overall, demanding passengers just aren't very interesting features when it comes to gameplay, they can be ignored and their demands passed over at no real loss... credits are usually the main goal over Rep+ anyway. 10,000Cr to go find a comfort commodity might seem worth it in the first few hours of the game when you're on your first small ships and building up credits, but once you're on the big ships looking to earn millions a day, they don't offer anything worth making a detour for.

The passenger mission system needs an overhaul to give it more zest and less random demands that will likely fail to impress most veteran players.

Cheers.
