Desert Animals DLC

We got plenty of DLCs now with many fantastic animals <3

we have a mess of asia animals, we got packs with south- and northamerica, with australia, with europe... but we only have just 5 desert animals in the game :(
And there are some nice animals where live there <3

the adax
cape fox
brown hyena
nubian ibex
dromedary camel
somali wild ass
striped hyena
Dik Dik
Caracal
desert bighorn sheep
Bukharan markhor

and much more..

it would b great for desert zoo builder to have more than 5 enclosure animals in the game <3

Here's my desert wishlist roster that I could think of (note that some animals can be found in deserts but are also adaptable to other biomes):
  • Coyote
  • Greater Roadrunner
  • Mule Deer

I guess you mean Middle East desert animals, because we already have 19 habitat animals which have the desert biome. I'm pretty confident that will get a desert or drylands pack at some point, probably next summer. And we will get our 6th dromedary sign 😁

In the Zoopedia in the desert biome are 10 animals of which 5 are intended for vivaria.
What you mean are probably animals that can also exist in the desert. But there is anyway much overlapping insofar I would agree with the post we have far too few desert biome animals. I would apply the same for the taiga biome but put the arctic region behind if you want to expand it at all as it would not represent the same diversity and possibilities as the other two areas which are clearly underrepresented compared to the temperate tropical and grassland.

On one hand I really miss some of the iconic desert species for my desert themed zoo. On the other hand I really want to finish that zoo soon...
That's no problem, then finish it and make another one. Others may want to build their very first and then it's nice to have options

I think that i have an answer...
Did you see that from this page, right?

Because this page it's so wrong, in the game zoopedia there are more desert species,

Well, you aren't a player or you don't have a very big zoo like Drylands from SalamAnders

That I am not a player and in the Zoopedia ingame could not look up is conditionally correct. Since the beginning of this year I do not have the necessary money to buy a new decent Pc to be able to there my priorities are just still elsewhere even if i miss it. Probably that's why I'm not up to date with some things :) How many pure desert biome animals are in the game ? ( just for interest ) And ...I wanted to say that this one zoo because he should soon be finished which I can totally understand if hes Youtuber...i think that you should not expose yourself to this pressure on the Internet so that you can present something good and what you enjoy if that should be the reason. It still can mean for all others who want to build one yet a later a matching Dlc still appear and then you renew your projects that I meant heartily not as a attack ! :)

My picks for Desert animal pack:

  • Hamadryas Baboon
  • Collared Peccary
  • Ratel (honey badger)
  • African or indian Crested porcupine
  • African Spurred Tortoise
  • Patagonian Mara
  • Dromedary Camel
King Cobra (exhibit)
I had the exact roster mate😂😂

Guess I'll do version 2

  • Hamadryas Baboon
  • Black Rhinoceros
  • Sand cat
  • African Crested porcupine
  • African Spurred Tortoise
  • Addax
  • Dromedary Camel
Egyptian Cobra (exhibit)

Grassland pack really swept some really strong candidates for some potential Desert DLC.

However I believe there's still some nice choices:

1. Dromedary Camel
2. Hamadryas Baboon
3. Arabian Sand Cat
4. Collared Peccary
5. Perentie
6. Addax
7. Rock Hyrax
8. Egyptian Spiny Tailed Lizard (E)

Hmm...

Dromedary Camel, Hamadryas Baboon, African Spurred Tortoise and Collared Peccary seem almost universal... everyone seems to include them and I'm kinda inclined to support them myself.

Like it or not, more cats and dogs seem inevitable... I'd go with the Sand Cat myself; sounds like a good, solid desert feline.

The last two spots would be the toughest:
  • Somali Wild Azz would be nice... another horse would be good.
  • Addax would be okay, although with the Scimitar Horned Oryx I'm less inclined to support it.
  • Perentie would add another Australian critter and finally add another big lizard.
  • Crested Porcupine... those live in desert areas? Would be cool.
  • Honey Badger would be a fun addition.
  • Personally I'd love the Aardwolf; such a strange little hyena.
  • I'm sure plenty don't want to hear this, but the Mexican Wolf would be a nice addition. A very unique subspecies and another one of those "conservation success stories" some people like going on about.
