Desert Dreams Zoo and Reserve

Welcome to Desert Dreams Zoo and Reserve!

When a conservation organization had received permission to fence off a reserve, they also decided to construct a research and breeding facility on the edge of said reserve. Upon noticing this, the local government of a nearby town saw an opportunity to educate the public on local endangered species. They then made a proposal to the organization: if they partner together to build a zoo for the public to enjoy, the organization will get 75% of the profits to aid in their efforts while the local government runs the zoo. Thus, Desert Dreams Zoo and Reserve was born.

Prepare for an experience of fun, education, lifelong memories, and beating the heat! After entering into Oasis Village, gaze at the camels while enjoying a tasty treat from Scarab Sweets. Stroll through The Burrows to meet the smaller icons of the desert, such as meerkats, fennec foxes, sand cats, crested porcupines, and horned vipers. Trek into Predator Path to come across many arid carnivores, such as caracals, cheetahs, striped hyenas, and wild dogs. Climb aboard a truck on the Reserve Tour to ride over to the other side, running into many local ungulates along the way. On the other side, Conservation Corner invites you into the research site that started it all as they work to breed and reintroduce scimitar-honed oryx and black rhinos. They even have a penguin rescue center! Don’t be afraid to stay until nighttime! That’s when the zoo becomes very beautiful.

So, what are you waiting for? We’re always welcoming visitors! Come on over and enjoy your day! Hope you enjoy!
