Designated landing pads should turn blue

Blue is the most important color used for Elites UI, and it has never made sense to me why an assigned landing pad does not also change to this color.

While I understand that the compass directs players toward their landing pad, it would help in vr even further if the landing pads hologram also changed color to help guide you home.

I know the engineers have blue landing pads, and I think it should look exactly like that.

The engineers landing pads are blue as standard. What colour should we change them too ?
Flimley
I can understand the desire to give the engineer's landing pads a different feel from regular ports, so i'm not entirely sure, honestly. The easy answer is to make them standard with the rest of the ports and find some other way to add variety to the engineers base.

I just know it would be easier to spot my pad from a distance in VR if it were to turn blue and appear different from the rest of the landing pads adjacent from them.

I like the blue landing pads. Why change them? They are very visible, and easy to read.
THAT'S MY POINT. When you're landing ANYWHERE switch the Sagan orange to PAMELA BLUE, so that it IS EASIER TO SEE WHEN YOU ARE LANDING... ANYWHERE.

PAMELA ANDERSON.

What's wrong with the international colour of indicated approval... green?
Because GREEN kept me OUT OF UNIVERSITY, and I SMOKED MY WHOLE STASH BEFORE MOM FOUND IT

I don't know, the big number floating about 100 feet above the pad work for me. The compass also helps locate the pad, in case you were not aware - watch it as you get close and you'll see it move around.

I agree I like it the way it is. One of the things I like about Elite is the lack of hand holding.

What about other pilot's assigned landing pads, surely they should change colour as well which sort of defeats the point of indicating your landing pad doesn't it...?

As far as I know those things are holograms of the station and not a HUD thingy.
You can still see the indicators with your windows shot out and wile using the external camera.
So yea FD can make it blue for you but then it would be blue for everyone els as well... So that's not very helpfull.

Landing in vr is just like regular seriously.
When traffic control and the giant letters say pad 4.

I land at pad 4.
Maybe this could help.
