Destiny... is this worth a buy without paying for online play (ie as a lone wolf)

Isn't Destiny 2 coming out very soon (its in beta). You may want to wait for that.

thanks for the reply, however if destiny has even half as much DLC as number 1 i think i would rather get the complete 1st game IF there is a decent amount of 1 player content to it... then i can pick up #2 on PC once it has a GOTY "complete" edition.

Yeah that's on PC. There's also another destiny type game coming out by one of the big studios. It's completely escaping me what the name is now which is annoying.

I personally think these sorts of games are very limited for solo play. They are mainly designed for co op type stuff. I always seem to end up buying them and then regretting so after because I don't have hours and hours every night to get properly into them.

not only that but its apparently the platform to get it on if you have the rig to run it (its the only one able to offer 4k 60fps. AFAIK even scorpio and ps4 pro versions will be locked to 4k 30fps)

(not that it matters to me really, i only have 1080p screen)

(not to mention cheaper purchase price and free online)

I had no idea there will be a PC version, thanks for the info. As a PC only gamer I will for sure try this - wants to see what all the fuzz is about haha (still when on BIG sale of course).

Bioware is working on "Anthem" which is said to have Destiny-like features. These games don't really strike me as solo games. Just like e.g. L4D, there is stuff designed for MP.
