Destroyed by station? For what???

Just picked up a cargo run, delivering coffee to beagle 2 landing (11k for delivering a couple of tonnes of coffee? Sign me up!)

Except just outside the station I get scanned and then shot to pieces with no warning and no explanation- what happened? No real loss really as I never paid for the cargo and was in a basic loaned sidewinder (still new to the latest beta) but is this a known thing to be happening?

Did you keep track of how long you had for the mission? Cargo for hauling missions turns into stolen goods if you fail to deliver in the time limit. That having been said, last time I had that problem I just got a fine, so either some systems are more liable to blow the player up for stolen goods, or you had a bounty going on. I've not bothered testing it thoroughly.

Did you have any illegal cargo on you, either stolen or contraband? If not, then i'unno. Might be related to the sudden bouts of bloodlusty madness system security suffers from in resource extraction zones and nav beacons. All I can suggest really is that you ticket it in as much detail as possible, replicate the circumstances if you can.

Actually, the same happened to me, I was carrying leather. Hostile scan.. then *blam*


The planet of Teatotalers is a high-tech planet with a strong military force. Coffee, Liquor, certain medical materials are STRICTLY forbidden, however, for those daring few with proper deflection tech will find an incredible bonus on Coffee at the black market...

Wasn't carrying anything, have only been playing for an hour or so since the latest patch just picking up highly paid cargo runs of (so I thought) non-illegal items to make some quick money.

It's possible that the station shot at someone else, and you were caught in the crossfire. If they say "no loitering" they mean, no loitering!

No to someone else being shot at (the firing came from the station guns) and no to the hardpoints active- I learned the hard way long ago to make sure they are stowed unless I'm actually using them!)

Has happened to me twice at Brennan space port in CR DRACO, I'm scared to go back there now, no bounties or criminal records and I can dock anywhere else.

In B1 I got toasted by station laser turrets because of a unhealthy combination of 'right place, wrong time'. Someone else was supposed to be shot at, bur they hit me instead.

Ahh good old collateral damage. Its surprising just how fast they can burn through a ship :(

Not brennan it was someting terminus at Cr draco and I know why they killed me now,apparently tea is illegal there and the silver corp put a bounty on me.
