Destroyed in Station

Just approaching landing pad 6 in Dahan when a ship opened fire on me and I was destroyed. I am sure there were no pad loitering messages or any other infringments. Is it possible to destroy another player inside a station or was I destroyed by station defenses?

You can be destroyed by another player in the station as things stand, but as the game is developed that would put the perp in a world of pain.

You can check, as your "death message" says "Your ship was destroyed by xxxxx"

If this was about half an hour ago at Dahan, I was in a Cobra just about to land, when the pad allocation system freaked out, and kept warning me about loitering, then allocating me to the same pad I was at. There were 2 player sidewinders also in the station. One of which was engaged by the station defences, presumably over a loitering infraction. I watched the ship explode above me just as I touched down.

Was that you then?

(And in answer to your question, yes, you can be destroyed by other players in the station, but they would also probably be engaged by the station defences. At least I was when testing a bug ticket back in Alpha 4).

In alpha 3 you could kill someone in the station and still get out alive.

In alpha 4 it's much much harder to survive the station lasers. I gave it a go early on and you die every time. You tend to get done in by the station before you can finished the kill, and not once have I seen a commander make it out alive.

Thanks for the comments. I was so Peed off that I did not notice death message. If you can pay insurance do you get cargo back after destruction? I am finding it difficult to earn credits. twice I have lost my ship inside station due to all inputs being lost (keyboard, mouse and X45).
